The tenth week again delivered, with a major surprise for the Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' saying that attracts so many people into the NFL

That result could have created things up for the Patriots to creep back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a schedule that provides them an edge over their eight and two competitors

Over in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a major confrontation next week, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the MVP award

The Breakdown - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a bad day for Buffalo?

Was it just an emotional letdown from beating the Chiefs last week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Bills had won seven in a row against Miami but were outperformed from the start as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 victors in an surprising outcome - and performance

MVP Josh Allen only achieved the team's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the final quarter - yes Miami had ten days to prepare but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's top offences

Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdowns but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns

Bottling up the NFL's top rushing attack was also key, with James Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their lowest of the year and just over half their 161.5 yard average

Then there were the three crucial turnovers, and the pair from Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone meaning a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that Miami converted to seven points just later

It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Josh Allen trying to overcompensate to rescue his squad from the situation - not the calm, disciplined, well-balanced Bills we've seen this season

Miami have served up a bit of everything this season so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East

Spotlight - Patriots See Path to Unexpected First Place

Speaking of the New England, they're among three eight and two teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but could they be the best?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, Denver and Indianapolis really for dominating the weaker opponents, with only five of their combined twenty-four victories coming against opponents with a winning record - and one of those was the Colts defeating the Broncos

The Broncos defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can ride Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their primtime win in Orchard Park seems like a statement

Their two defeats came in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive wins, just like Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to prepare was significant

Drake Maye's MVP claims continue to be discussed, and he definitely earns point for courage after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his side to victory

The defense is solid and rookie rusher Henderson exploded on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exciting touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth different runner to break 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

While you can debate who 'the best' is technically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the top record due to their schedule - which includes just one game against a winning team, albeit a huge one against the Bills

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Chiefs to play twice, the Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the schedule

The Colts also face the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There's a considerable distance to go but the door is open for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Prepare for Week 11 Clash

Both squads with solid claims to be better than all of the three eight and two teams are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Los Angeles, who each scored forty points to reach seven and two before next week's major game between the two in Los Angeles

They've both secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up under 20 points a game

Both could realistically be without a loss as well - especially the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the final play blocked and run back by the Philadelphia for a score

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely two of the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year to date

Top Performer - Taylor

Jonathan Taylor might be on for a record season after his incredible display in Germany - rushing for 244 yards, scoring three scores and contributing another forty-two {receiving yards
